The winter weather in west Bengal has changed significantly, particularly in several areas close to Kolkata where the present lows are lower than usual. The Finnish Meteorological Institute is preparing a weather forecast for the next few days. There is a possibility of fog in several northern places in the morning and snowfall has already started in Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
Kalimpong and Darjeeling are likely to receive light rain, the Meteorological Department said on Tuesday morning. Other areas should remain dry in the meantime. The next day and forecast covering Wednesday and the weather shows a possibility of rain or snow in Darjeeling and Kalimpong. In addition, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts may experience light rain.
However, the weather in North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur and Malda regions will remain dry during this period. Currently, there are no signs of significant temperature changes near the West Bengal Himalayas. According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, no temperature fluctuations were expected at night.
The Meteorological Department on Tuesday morning also said that today and Wednesday will be dry in every district of South Bengal. Areas of West Bengal adjacent to the Ganga River are currently not expected to experience any variation in night temperatures. The Bureau of Meteorology said the weather will remain stable in these southern regions for the next seven days.

According to the Tuesday morning weather report, the sky in Kolkata is expected to remain mostly clear for the next 24 hours. The high and low temperatures can be between 24 and 14 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity is predicted to reach a minimum of 39% and a maximum of 95%.
